Winch Operator Course - Man Riding Safety

Description

Overview of course

The course of a Winch Operator would cover in great detail the hazardous aspects of man-riding and anchor handling  winch operations, with strong emphasis on safety procedures and equipment. Overloading, slipping brake, and wire parting are only some of the substantial risks that this course will cover; by the end, participants will know how to identify those hazards and mitigate them accordingly.

The course provides the participants with both knowledge and manual skills relevant to towing and anchor handling winch operations on vessels. Further, the course prepares operators for any form of danger that might result during work, emphasizing safety protocols and emergency management. At the end of this comprehensive training, participants will be fully prepared to manage the winches  within safety limits, hence minimizing risks and ensuring smooth operations under unfriendly maritime conditions.
