The course on Crowd and Crisis Management is tailored for maritime personnel, especially those on passenger ships, providing vital skills to efficiently deal with emergencies. Aligned with the standards set forth by Section A-V/3 of the Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Code. Formerly known as the "Passenger Ship (Crowd Management) Course," this updated iteration now aligns with the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) Model course 1.28 guidelines. The focus lies on overseeing passenger movement, maintaining effective communication in crisis situations, and responding calmly to events like fires, floods, or evacuations.

Participants delve into topics such as crowd behavior, the psychology of panic, and tactics to safeguard and organize passengers. Through practical exercises, they hone skills in making crucial decisions, communicating effectively, and executing coordinated responses crucial for safety under high-pressure conditions.
