Confined Space Entry Level 1

Description

The Confined Space Entry Level 1 training is intended for individuals who operate in enclosed, low-risk environments with sufficient ventilation. This introductory course aims to equip candidates with the essential knowledge and tools needed to safely enter and exit confined spaces. It covers the fundamentals of confined space safety, highlighting the various risks that may arise in such environments, the importance of air quality testing, and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when entering a confined space.

Target Audience

This course is suited for those who will either enter or serve as an attendant for individuals entering basic confined spaces at the worksite.

Requirements
  • Basic Education: No specific qualifications, but basic literacy and numeracy are helpful.
  • Physical Fitness: Good health and physical fitness for confined space tasks.
  • Age: Minimum age of 18.
  • Medical Fitness: A medical certificate may be required.
  • Basic Safety Knowledge: Prior safety knowledge is helpful but not required.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Familiarity with PPE is beneficial.
  • Willingness to Learn: Active participation and commitment to safety practices.
