Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
Description
The Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) program conducted by Elite Offshore Pvt Ltd is designed to provide participants with minimum required safety knowledge and emergency response skills necessary for working in offshore environments. This course ensures that individuals are well-prepared to handle the unique challenges of offshore operations, emphasizing safety, survival techniques, and emergency procedures.
The BOSIET training covers several key areas:
1. Safety Induction: Participants get an overview of the offshore industry, including different types of installations, safety regulations, and personnel responsibilities.
2. Firefighting and Self-Rescue: This section provides hands-on training in using firefighting equipment and self-rescue techniques during a fire.
3. Sea Survival: It covers water survival skills, such as using life rafts, life jackets, and other personal protective equipment.
4. Helicopter Safety and Escape (HUET): This module teaches helicopter travel safety and emergency escape procedures, including the use of breathing apparatus and underwater escape techniques.
5. First Aid: Basic first aid training is provided to ensure participants can handle medical emergencies until professional help arrives.
The BOSIET course combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, allowing participants to engage in simulated drills and exercises for hands-on learning. This approach ensures that all participants are well-prepared to maintain safety and manage emergencies effectively in offshore environments.
